Located on beautiful Jeremy Creek, “Creekside” is a lovely five bedroom house with all the comforts of home and more! Situated on nearly two waterfront acres, it’s the perfect spot from which to launch your low country adventures.
Walking into the home on the main level, you are warmed by both the sun streaming in through the back of French doors as well as the glow from the antique heart pine floors and paneling. The open floor plan linking living, kitchen and sun room areas allows fabulous views of Jeremy Creek, the coming and going of shrimp boats, and the occasional glimpse of resident dolphins. In the great room a large HD television and entertainment center are provided, as well as a game table and wet bar. In the fully equipped kitchen, cooks will find everything needed to put on a family feast. Convection oven, microwave, warming oven and five burner cook top make dinner prep a breeze. Not to mention the adjacent laundry room with washer/dryer and second refrigerator perfect for extra drinks and ice! A broad porch, with both screened and open areas, runs the width of the house and provides a conveniently located gas grill.
In the dining room you’ll find comfortable seating for 12 in a spacious welcoming environment. It’s the perfect spot for lingering over long conversations, tall tales and friendly fellowship. The main level also includes the master bedroom, which features creek views, queen sized bed, and full bath with soaking tub. In addition, this floor offers a second master with adjoining full bath and queen bed. An added bonus is the elevator which provides easy access to this floor for those who find stairs an obstacle. It also makes delivery of suitcases and groceries an easy task. The home also provides Wi-Fi internet.
The second level provides three comfortably appointed bedrooms and two full baths. Two of the rooms have queen beds and one features a set of twin beds. Each one provides a bird’s eye view of Jeremy Creek.
Being in McClellanville is all about relaxing and enjoying the bounty of the lowcountry environment. Beneath the house, on the ground floor, you’ll find a “summer kitchen” with gas cook top perfect for oyster roasts, shrimp boils and crab picking. Share your feast on the picnic table within this large screened in space. The area includes ping pong table, bumper pool, ring game and sound system access. Adjoining this area is a large outdoor patio with comfortable seating, joggling board, and a large fire kettle ideal for roasting marshmallows. Guests are encouraged to harvest from the adjacent “cutting garden” which provides seasonal flowers to brighten tabletops. A nearby outdoor shower allows quick and easy cleanup after a day on the water. (And with porch and rear yard mosquito misting system there are no worries about uninvited flying guests!)
And of course, the reason you’re really here – easy access to Jeremy Creek and the marsh beyond. “Creekside” offers a fixed and floating dock complete with fish cleaning sink and running water. The covered dock seating provides the perfect spot for an end-of-the-day toast to your most recent lowcountry adventure.
